Netflix is Making a Wall Street Bets GameStop Movie

Just yesterday we wrote that MGM was working on a movie based on the ongoing Wall Street GameStop saga. MGM acquired the rights to a not-yet-finished book on the recent Wall Street upheaval by Ben Mezrich. Mezrich as well wroteThe Accidental Billionaires: The Founding Facebook, a Tale Of Sexual practice, Money, Genius and Betrayal, which was afterward adapted intoThe Social Network. However, MGM isn't the simply company that sees potential in the clash between Redditors and hedge funds. According to another exclusive study from Deadline, Netflix is in talks to produce its own Wall Street GameStop stocks film.

The untitled movie already has an all-star team behind it. Netflix is in talks with Mark Boal to write the film. Any pic addict should exist familiar with Boal's work, he's the Oscar-winning screenwriter behind The Injure LockerandZero Night Thirty. Also attached to the project is Noah Centineo. The 24-year-onetime actor has starred inTo All The Boys I've Loved Before and T he Diary. Centineo too has a lead role in the upcoming Black Adammovie, where he's set to play Cantlet Smasher. The picture volition be produced by Makeready CEO Brad Weston, along with Nick Styne of Definition Entertainment, and Marker Sourian.

Much like the movie set to be fabricated by MGM though, it's not articulate where this story will begin and end. Wall Street Bets is still targeting stocks in GameStop, with multiple calls to "hold the line" coming from both Reddit and Twitter. Even the Wolf of Wall Street himself, Jordan Belfort, is taking to social media to tell fellow investors to concord their shares in GameStop.

It'southward clear that the battle between Wall Street Bets, the lath on Reddit where this whole story started, and Wall Street is non over yet. While MGM and Netflix are the only companies to reveal plans for movies surrounding the topic, information technology wouldn't be surprising if more decided to throw their hats in.
