The National Register of Historic Places is the official list of the Nation'south historic places worthy of preservation. Authorized by the National Celebrated Preservation Act of 1966, the National Park Service's National Register of Historic Places is part of a national plan to coordinate and support public and private efforts to identify, evaluate, and protect America's historic and archeological resource.

How to Notice our Files

1. National Archives (NARA): Holds our records up to the end of 2012.
   The National Archives is the permanent abode of our records and everything will eventually be in the National Athenaeum.

   How to search NARA's holdings.
   The easiest manner is to look upwardly the property in the searchable tabular array below or download our spreadsheet. Both incorporate straight links to the files that accept been scanned.

   Reference number search:

Is an address listed?

About National Register Documentation:

The depth of information available varies from state to country, but ranges from basic locational information to searchable databases with downloadable narrative descriptions and photos.
